A fascinating thing about blogs is the fact that they are often anonymous. Under the safety of this anonymity, people will share their most intimate and honest thoughts. I once heard it said that the most intimate writing is the most universal. That, I think, is the greatest appeal of blogs. They continually remind us that no matter how far removed someone's life is from our own, on the deepest level we are all far more alike than we realize.
